**REGISTRATION FOR #YIMBY2016 HAS NOW CLOSED**

WHO SHOULD REGISTER? 

Grassroots and community-based organizations of all shapes and sizes who are actively working to build a better Toronto are invited to register for #YIMBY2016

This year’s theme is Massively Open – exploring how inclusivity & accessibility, and sharing connections, vulnerability, expertise, data, and more can strengthen our work. Through the festival, we will explore how various forms of openness can support us in realizing our collective hopes for a better Toronto – and what that looks like.

Taking part in YIMBY is a great way to promote your work to a wide and engaged audience, build connections with other groups who are working on similar issues, and to participate in an annual celebration of Toronto’s community initiatives.

Registering for #YIMBY16 is your ticket to:

HOST A TABLE

  • Set up a table with your materials and network with hundreds of attendees and peer organizations
  • Share what you do, why you do it, and how others can get involved


APPLY TO HOST PROGRAMMING 

Walk your talk at this year’s Festival! YIMBY is an event for community, by community. That’s why we’re inviting participants to co-design the programming and interactive elements at this year’s festival. We’ll provide breakout spaces and promotion for groups and organizations to actively showcase their work at the Festival.

Programming will be hosted in breakout spaces. All programming offered must be free for attendees.

PRE & POST-FESTIVAL NETWORKING SESSIONS

Get to know your peers in community organizing from across Toronto at informal gatherings, held specifically for you to grow your networks and connections.

REGISTRATION DETAILS:

Cost: YIMBY collects a small fee ($25) from registrants to support the hard costs of running the festival.

  • Each registered initiative will receive a half table (~3 feet of space) to display their promotional materials 

You will receive details about payment once your application to register is approved.

Deadline: Registration has been extended to Fri, Sept 2nd at midnight.
